I could not appreciate Dr Soto more! Dr Soto helped diagnose my extremely rare medical condition and has worked with me to refine a course of action that allows me to live a normal and healthy life. I've been Dr Soto's patient for over 5 years now, and I've never had better personal care. Not only is she extraordinarily responsive through the patient portal, she has the best bedside manner I've ever seen. When we meet in person, she makes me feel like I am the most important patient she has. She is always caring, personable, competent and never makes me feel rushed. She always delivers a personal plan, and best next steps following every appointment. She has my highest recommendation.

I first came to see Dr Soto in 2009 seeking a diagnosis and treatment for shortness of breath and a persistent cough. From our first meeting Dr Soto was extremely attentive, intelligent, competent and caring. After thorough testing, she referred me to a doctor at the ILD clinic at UCSF who confirmed her suspicions that I had a somewhat rare interstitial lung disease. Over these past 11 years Dr Soto has been a constant in my treatment and care. She has worked closely with the team at UCSF, and her connections to doctors there have made it much easier for me to cope with this progressive disease. Visits to her office are always a pleasure and never hurried. She truly cares about her patients and makes every effort to stay up to date on all the latest treatments. She has been easy to contact either through her office staff, via her website or by phone.
I referred several people to her office for various pulmonary and sleep issues and all have been very satisfied.
I highly recommend Dr Soto for anyone needing pulmonary care but especially for people needing a complex diagnosis. I cannot thank her enough for her care through these years and I look forward to working with her for many more!

Simply put, Dr Soto and her staff are outstanding! With both sleep apnea and COPD, I have rarely had a physician (and unfortunately, I've had many) who demonstrates such knowledge and compassion as Dr Soto. She is exceptionally thorough in her approach and takes the time necessary to clearly explain each given situation and her recommended treatment.

Today, thanks to Dr Soto, I still have two lungs. Following a lung biopsy, that was negative, the hospital's surgeon wanted to immediately remove one of my lungs. Dr Soto disagreed and intervened. Indeed, as she correctly diagnosed, I didn't have cancer but rather a rare infection!!!

A special thanks to support staff members Alex and Tristan with whom I have interfaced the most. That said, the entire team has always been pleasant, attentive and efficient. I have been a patient of Dr Soto and Pulmonary and Sleep Associates of Marin since 2014. I first went to see her through a referral when I was experiencing difficulty breathing. She diagnosed me with Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis. I had gotten very sick and credit Dr Soto for saving my life. I was placed on medication protocol and eventually got better and have been able to return to a good life. At the time I was living in Marin and now live in Nevada. I still see Dr Soto for I believe in her skills and find her office to be exceptional. Everyone there and specially Alex have always met my needs. The office has guided and assisted me in getting me any equipment I have needed. When I have traveled from Nevada to see Dr Soto, she has always arranged her schedule to fit my travels. You don't find that very often with health care professionals. Through their portal communication I have been able to view my chart and communicate with the staff and Dr Soto when needed. She also diagnosed me with sleep apnea and has treated me for that, leading to even better health. I really can't say enough about Dr Soto and her practice.

I wanted to say that of all the specialists that I took my mother to see (and there were a lot of them), Dr Massoumi really stood out as someone that is perfectly suited to be a physician. He, like his colleagues, are experts in their field, but his bedside manner is unmatched. Clearly, he has an enormous heart and deep compassion for those under his care. As a long-time patient of Dr Soto, I am pleased to recommend her practice for patients seeking the best care for pulmonary issues. Dr Soto is a caring, very competent practitioner. Appointments with her are very thorough. I never feel rushed and Dr Soto takes time to listen and answer questions in a thoughtful manner. In between appointments, she will check up to make sure everything is OK. She processes medications promptly and is always available if there is a problem. A shout out of thanks to her support staff, Tristan and Alex. They followup when messages are left and have great, caring personalities. Visiting Dr Soto's office feels like family.
